These giant shore-operated lift nets — introduced by Chinese traders centuries ago — line the northern edge of Fort Kochi beach. Fishermen still work them by counterweight, lowering square nets into the sea and hauling them up by hand.
Best time: arrive 30–45 minutes before sunset. The nets frame the sky, and the light is soft for photos.
